All Smiles Tonight

rish trio Poor Creature - formed of members from Landless and Lankum - dig into folk traditions with spectral depth, casting ancient songs in a contemporary, hallucinatory haze. With production by John 'Spud' Murphy, their sound sways between reverence and distortion: 'Adieu Lovely Erin' and 'Bury Me Not' are submerged in murky textures, like memories warped by time, while 'The Whole Town Knows' spirals outward with a slow, circular insistence.
